bought 12 month extended warranty but useless - tramp has 3 month warranty, warranty extended it to 15 month. At 2yr, we noticed the legs were rusting (not exactly "rust-resistant frame") and straps for the enclosure are rotting and no longer attach to frame. Didn't think my [$] investment was disposable, but I guess it is.

Poor Bounce - Falls Apart

This product advertises a better bounce than a spring trampoline. The bounce is actually very poor compared to a spring trampoline. Within 6 months our red pads had faded to light pink and began dry rotting within a year the pads were completely gone. Once the pads go the elastic bands rapidly decompose. AVOID THIS PRODUCT get a spring trampoline.

We've had our Variflex 13' Airzone Trampoline for about 5 years now and we still love it. I looked at all kinds before deciding on this one and I like the fact that it didn't have springs. I've seen ohters that had spring trampolines and over time the springs were all rusty.
Due to weather (and kids)I need to replace the foam that lays in between the spring/straps and the cover, but otherwise it's still in great shape. My kids don't use it for gymnastics so they don't need a special type of bounce, they use it for fun and exercise.
I don't know how others set up, but my husband and I had no problem at all putting together.
I would recommend the enclosure since researching most articles indicated the majority of accidents happen from falling off the trampoline.
Happy bouncing!

We used to have a tramp with springs and then we bought this one with the bands because we thought it would be safer. After one year, zero bounce and the band cover completely shredded from the UV rays. This tramp is disposable and I would never recommend it.

After only one year of use, the elastic bands no longer had elastic. The padding and the enclosure also fell apart. I have friends who have the ones with the springs, after 3 and 4 years, theirs are still holding up very well.

Foam Frame Pad good for 8 months only...

Bad Customer Service, Not Weather REsistant, Poor quality
Best Uses:
Individual Play

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The problems began when after eight months, the foam frame padding started coming apart (there is no warranty for that). The company won't stand behind this. I ordered a new part after a Variflex phone representative walked me through which part I needed. After opening the box and realizing it was the wrong part, I called Variflex (under the Bravo Sports name now) and was told "All sales are final". After an hour on the phone, they finally agreed to refund me for the part, but they said I would have to pay for the shipping. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life.

Great Bounce!
By Luv2BounceVerified Reviewer from MD on 8/31/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Durable, Easy Assembly, Hours of Fun, Safe, Weather Resistant
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I had researched many trampolines before deciding on this one. We also have the net enclosure which I would recommend. Our trampoline has been outdoors in the sun, snow, rain and hail for about 5 years and everything is still pretty good. The red edge cover has faded somewhat and some of the foam has to be replaced but all in all my children and their friends still love it. It isn't rusty like most spring trampolines I've seen, the only thing I wish is it was a little bigger. It is a pain when leaves and debris get into it, but my husband just blows everything out with the leaf blower. I would recommend this trampoline. Good Luck.

This product began to fall apart shortly after we purchased it. The pad faded quickly, bolts fell out and the after six months,a leg went through the foam pad. Legs are not sturdy. Our previous trampoline (different brand) lasted over 16 years. I would not recommend this product if you are looking for long term enjoyment for your family. Needed to purchase a separte warranty for replacement or repair. [...]

Cons:
Flimsy, Hard to Keep Clean
Best Uses:

This trampoline has a moderate bounce compared to those spring tramplines. Lasted about 4 yrs then got rusty and the frame started to get warped. NOT STURDY at all. At first the bouce sucks but then about a year later its better. The alastic straps begin to taer apart after about 3 to 4 yrs of heavy usage. This trampoline it ok but not the best for people that like to do rotational/flip tricks and need a lot of air like me.

We really like this trampoline. Yes the edge cover faded fast, but after a year the bounce is still great--maybe the others had too much weight on it? We are happy with ours! and it is very safe--even our dog loves to run around on it with my child. Buy the safety enclosure!

Our troubles with the trampoline started when a hole opened up on the mat (for no apparent reason). The red cover (which is stitched to the mat) completely faded and deteriorated in the sun. If you compare this product to others on the market, you will notice there is no warranty on the mat, just the frame. When I called to replace the mat and the unified red cover, the repalcement cost was more than the cost of the unit when it was new! If you do buy this product, make sure you buy the entended warranty!!!!

This is the worst thing to buy. Within one year the cover rots and the straps lose all the bounce. Be prepared to buy another trampoline within two years.

This trampoline isn't ...
By Tom O from Hudson, MA on 8/26/2002

This trampoline isn't really worth the money. The bounce that the elastic bands gives you is sufficient for a while, but eventually they loosen up and lose basically all of their bounce. Spring trampolines give much more bounce and are also just as much money so get the spring trampoline if you can.
