Personal Bike for Home
By Julie P from New Britain, CT on 2/12/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy Peddling, Easy To Adjust, Easy To Use, Seat had disfunction
Cons:
General Sturdiness, Have to fix and will work, Seat didn't come tight
Best Uses:
General Fitness, No clicking so far, Weight Loss
Describe Yourself:
Weekend Warrior
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The seat had a screw that came with the bike to adjust and the screw hole area of the seat did not fit- appears a manufacturer default. Overall, easy assembly, rode smooth, no clicking yet! Moves around easily in living room. Not as sturdy as a bike from the gym, but for the price and convenience of personal use, not bad at all.

I'm Satisfied
By Ken from Mays Landing, NJ on 1/12/2008
Pros:
Easy To Adjust, Easy To Use, Stable
Best Uses:
Cardio, Physical Therapy
Describe Yourself:
Rarely Workout

I purchased this bike for stress-relieving cardio work. It was easy to assemble. While using the bike on levels 1, 2 and 3 there is a knocking sound. However all other levels are quiet. The lower the level, the louder the noise. Also, when using bad form it's louder than when using good form. The convenience of using this bike at my home compared to "attempting" to get to a gym makes the slight knocking a non-issue for me. The benefits far outweigh the faults.

About the knocking.....

About that knocking that Mike and others mentioned. I bought one of these units this weekend, put it together, and it started the knocking shortly after my wife started her moderate-intensity workout. After a little investigation, I saw that this is due to a horizontal slippage in the crank inside what I would call its "sleeve." Since the "sleeve" moves with the crank inside the bearing, I found an easy fix---just put a bit of rubber band or something similar around inside the slip ring, to prevent the movement. So far so good, and I gave it a good workout last night...quiet as a mouse. Take off the plastic side shield cover--while on the bike, the left one, and you should see what I'm talking about. But this shouldn't have happened to begin with of course, but packing and taking back is just too much trouble for a [$]bike.

Not impressed
By Mike from Columbia, MD on 11/1/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy To Adjust, Easy To Use, Stable
Cons:
Loud, Monitor Hard To Read
Best Uses:
General Fitness, Weight Loss

This bike was easy to put together. The only complaint about assembley is the cup holder was broke. But it sill holds cups so thats no biggie.

As far as using the bike goes, at first it was quiet and smooth. There are 8 training programs that come with the bike, all are way to easy. I've abandoned the preset programs, and now I just adjust the resistance manually for my workouts.

The pulse reader grips are useless. I have yet to get an accurate reading. Most of the time no reading comes up. When it does "read" my pulse, it seems way off. I don't even try anymore.

I have yet to use the video game feature. I would have rather the bike came without it, but I can't fault Reebok for that.

Now, my biggest complaint. Everything I've mentioned so far is not a huge deal to me, but this is. This bike seems to get louder and louder each time I ride it! I live on a 4th floor condo, so the main reason I bought this bike was for reduced noise levels, as a courtesy to my downstairs neighbors. I can't believe how much this bike is knocking now. Every time I pedal, knock, knock, knock. If it continues, I will consider returning it. The manual has some troubleshooting tips that I have not tried yet. Nor should I have to try them on a product that is only 3 weeks old!

All in all, I'm not very impressed with the quality of this bike.

IT BACK AND GOT ANOTHER ONE.THIS ONE LASTED ABOUT
TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE BELT CAME OFF.I NEVER COULD
GET THE BELT BACK ON TIGHT ENOUGH FOR IT TO WORK
PROPERLY.AT THIS POINT I DID NOT SEE ANY REASON
TO TRY A THIRD ONE.

By Chris N from Riverview, FL on 1/6/2007

This bike actually has 16 levels of resistance, which, thanks to it being magnetic resistance, is very smooth. I tried out every bike in my local Sports Authority, and this was the one I liked the best.
