I'm recovering from surgery and need to walk. It's too hot to walk outside so we went on the search for a treadmill. Our salesperson was extremely helpful and we decited this was the best for us. I didn't even read the instructions and was able to get my morning workout and monitor my heart rate. The display was encouraging. It was easy to adjust the speed in accordance with my heart rate and to lower it for a warm down. It is in my house still sitting on the cardboard box on hardwood floors and I was surprised about how quiet it is. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought this in Jan 2008, it has assisted me on my weight loss and I am feeling alot better. I was getting fairly winded walking around, DR said to lose weight, change eating habits, and exercise. This was it!! Ive lost almost 20 lbs and dropped 2 pant sizes. No I won't get to my highschool weight, but for a guy 52, this really helped out. Thanks Proform

Great Machine!
By TeknoNerdVerified Reviewer from Charlotte, NC on 2/13/2008
Pros:
Easy To Assemble, Easy To Store, Good Speed Modulation, Great Controls, Quiet, Safe, Sturdy Design
Best Uses:
Cardio, Losing Weight
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have no idea what all the reviews saying the assembly is hard or difficult. I am inept at most things but I assembled this in about an hour BY MYSELF! The instructions were great and the only problem I had was moving it upstairs. This machine is HEAVY. The motor and belt are quiet. In the store the 1100 was the quietest of the floor models. At the price it's a great deal. I do have 3 minor complaints. The shelf used to place a book on covers the fan should you decide to read and walk. I also would have liked it to have the hand levers to work out your arms while walking. I just have to pretend I have them and move my arms instead. I don't think the Pulse readout is very accurate.

Not a bad machine for the money
By New Treadmill UserVerified Reviewer from Massachusetts on 2/1/2008
Pros:
Easy To Store, Great Controls, Sturdy Design
Cons:
Hard To Assemble
Best Uses:
Losing Weight, Muscle Toning
Describe Yourself:
Weekend Warrior
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

If you are looking for a treadmill that is in the same league as the [$]gym version this is not the one. If you are looking for a home treadmill for daily use for losing weight and toning muscles this treadmill will work for you. Controls are easy to use and the unit does fold up for storage, although it does have some weight. The one con is it is very difficult to assemble. Worth the money if you get it on sale.

I use this machine 1-2x a day! Its great in what all it has to offer. Its easy to use once put together. You definatly need some muscles to move this product and to put some of it together. It took us almost an hour to carry and put it together. Its a heavy product, but once its put together it is easy to move around, which I orignially didnt think would be the case!

This treadmill is actually a great product. It has kept me in top shape, I've never had a problem with it. It is not like the [$]ones at our gym but perfect for home use. My fiance is a competetive body builder and works well for him. It is very easy to use and even though it took 2 of us to set it up it is def. worth the money. It has kept me at a size 0-2!
