I liked the treadmill design and comfort when running. However after 6 months the control panel stopped working. Only the start button and the incline up button work. [...] I do not recommend this treadmill model or PROFORM unless you get a extended warranty.
I have had this for a 1.5 years with not troubles.
I run on it in the winter 3-5 miles a day at 9-10 miles an hour. My wife runs 3 miles a day all year around. I would reccomend getting the extended warranty since treadmills overall need tune-ups.
As in other reviews, our control panel failed after six months of use. Now, we have one button only that works - the up button for the incline. Avoid this model.
Main console went dead after about 10 months. [...].Seems to be a common problem....Avoid this model!!!

We purchased this treadmill at the local Sports Authority on sale after the first proform we purchased had to be returned as defective. The first one never worked. The second one worked fine for about seven months until the buttons started to intermittently fail. A few weeks later, one button works. It lets you start the treadmill and increase the speed but none of the other buttons now work including slowing down or stopping the treadmill. I would not recommend this manufacturer.
My ProForm Perspective 1.0 console buttons stopped working after eight months (and I didn't even use it every day!). I didn't buy an extended warranty and now it'll cost [$] to fix!

This is a quite impressive machine.
First off, I hate running! I had pains in my knees when I ran on the treadmill at the gym I went to. The thing that attracted me to this one was the shocks. The deck is soft when running and after 4 miles I still have no pain.
