The FogoSports RocketRod™ makes fishing fun for kids with an easy-to-cast system that allows you to just point and shoot. It's designed to accurately cast up to 30 ft. A safety bobber all but eliminates snags by hiding the hook until it hits the water. Once the bobber lands on the water, the lure/bait compartment opens to drop the lure/bait to the desired depth.

I purchased 2 of these for my children to use on our Memorial Day fishing trip. Before we could open the package, my oldest daughter was reading the package. There is a rather large WARNING box (not sure HOW i missed it) located on the back of the package. It states that the product contains excessive amounts of lead and hands MUST be washed after EVERY USE! It also states that it may contain cancer...THANKS CHINA!! This product should be taken off of the shelf in my opinion.

Breaks easily. The stopper for the bobber, which is a little plastic piece on the line, broke immediately. I had to rig up a quick solution. Then, the line got tangled within the inner mechanics and the trigger device broke after the first time using it.

My husband and I purchased this for our son to take on a trip to Virginia. He was all excited to try it out, but on the very first cast, the entire line unwound and we lost the bobber in the river. Some kids swimming downstream found it and charged us to get it back, but it was minus the line. We were unable to use it the remainder of the trip and were very disappointed in the construction.

I bought two for my kids they do not cast anymore then five feet in front of them and the package said that they would cast alest thirty feet. I bought the righ size weight and hooks for it but the bobber dose not stay up out of the water it always sinks. they never caught any fish because i think the bobber dose not open under water and the line never gose deep enough to where the fish swim

All the complaints so far are right. You spend more time messing with it then fishing with it. Better off getting a kid a light spinning combo set.

I bought this fishing rod for my son to fish with me. It worked pretty good for the first couple of times, then the line snarled. After getting it fixed and shot it out again, my son caught a pretty good size fish then the line broke. Well try and find a float stop that will work for this thing. If you use any thing you can find on the market it wont work. when you reel in the line the stop moves to the end and when you shoot it out into the water the float will open but the line wont drop down so that the hook is down for the fish to get at.
I have tried to get the right stops but no one seems to know where or what to use. I even bought a extra set of floats thinking they would have the float stops in there, Wrong. Can't get an answer from the company.

Product makes for lots of fun until line hangs up. Takes an extended amount of time, and lots of patience to do this. Lucky if you can get the launcher to work correctly after this.

This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. I bought it for my child and tried to use it as instructed. It does not shoot out 30' as advertised, only about 5' if you are lucky. Once you do get it in the water, the drag is so horrible, that if you did catch a fish with it, you would not be able to real it in. Nor does it come with the 3 hooks, 3 weights, & 3 grubs as advertised. I immediately returned it to the store I purchased it from. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone at all.

i found that my kids love it so fishing is much easier that i dont half to cast for them. it does tangle easly, and the line stop for hock depth was now were to be found, [...] so i riging it to make it work good luck
