I use it to do my squats and it has enough width between da collars to fit my squat rack 52'. Its good for me rightnow because I am only working out with 200lbs. The weight capasity is only 250lbs but that is fine. Oneother thing that Ihad to do was find spring collars, I thought it would come with the bar but o well.

Very nice, good quality bar for the money. Fits the new olympic bench just got. Already had many standard plates, so works out great. And, it is so much nicer than the junky 3 piece bar was using before got this (and not that much more expensive!)

Three of us are using the bar, each having various strengths. We are each using the bar to tone and lose weight, so far so good.

Good bar. If you're going use 300 pounds or more I would recommend an olympic bar. I needed a 7 ft. bar to use on a new Gold's Gym bench. The uprights are spaced so that a 7 ft. bar is necessary. Would have been nice if it were sold in stores but it arrived in less than a week so that was good. I use up to 220 lbs on the bar with no problems.
