At first home use this lighter works great. The case seems super strong, flame lights easy and everytime, super hot! I have not tested the water proof capability, appears it would have no problem. Can't wait to put this through a test of a good camping trip and the New England winter that is on the way.

Drawbacks include small reservoir for butane, and most obviously the price. (got mine discounted on cyber monday). Price is the main reason for the 4 star review, otherwise would get 5.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
