This product is not stable at all, after installation you could still take it off or move it around easily. It also damage you car and does not fit all bikes. I do not recomend it to anyone!
Had trouble fitting it to my car. The hooks scratch the car and if you have a Mazda like I do it is difficult to mount. The loop where the Velcro attached to snapped when I tried to tighten it. I wouldn't trust it without a few bungees. When using 2 bikes they side towards the car and scratch the car as well. I do not recommend!
i had to buy another bike rack because this one definitely did not work for me. IT slid around on my car after cranking the straps as tight as i could and scratched my car. The mounts that hold the bike slide toward the car with a bike on them and can cause the bike to scratch your car if you aren't careful. one of the rides it completely slid crooked and the straps loosened up on a highway ride. You get what you pay for though with this rack. it definitely saves money and was fairly easy to install. i wouldn't ever buy one again though and it is worth it to pay the extra money so it doesn't damage your bike/s or car.
With the added steel cable lock the whole package is very reasonably priced and has a sturdy construction. Is very stable at highway speeds and locks well in place. I bought it because a friend recommended it.
We installed this bike rack on my Corolla, but it doesn't fit well due to the spoiler on my trunk. The rack can't rest on its rollers, so it scratched my car.
Also the rubber loops that secure the velcro straps are cheaply made. One of them snapped on the first use (a 20 minute highway drive). We had to twist the velcro on itself, bypassing the loop, and thankfully the bike stayed in place.
