I've used the air monarchs for years. The latest version is garbage. They develop a loud squeak within a few weeks so you won't want to wear them for casual use. Time to find something else.

This is my fourth pair, I have loved these Air Monarchs in the past. The last two pair have developed a squeaking that makes them unwearable. Fool me once Nike, shame on you, fool me twice Nike, shame on me. I have switched over to buying Sketcher,s and Nike can shove their junk. Quality is terrible . Stay away from thse, unless you actually like being embarassed when wearing these??

Purchased because of initial comfort and price point.
After One Week of wearing shoes, the right shoe started to squeek internaly, after another week the left shoe was squeeking, I was a varitable symphany in motion.
Atempted to return the shoes and was sent away because I had worn them ???
Not sure what that is all about, I guess the shoe's warranty is voided if you actually wear them.
OVERALL NOT HAPPY WITH SPORTS AUTHORITY, And will most likely not return.!!!

Great comfort and roomy shoe. Disappointed about very audible and annoying squeaks from both shoes about a month or so after purchase. If your hearing is bad, I'd recommend, if not it can be maddening.

I've had these shoes for about a month and a half. I purchased them on 10/6/12. I've always had good results with Nike. Alas, about two weeks ago I noticed that everytime I walk the left shoe started squeaking. Like the sound you hear when you are playing ball in an indoor gym or when you come in from the rain. It's coming from somewhere near the bottom back of the shoe. I've gotten compliments on how these shoes look and I feel that the outside of the shoe will be durable, but the constant squeaking is really annoying. I'd prefer to give it 2.5 stars, but I'm going to give Nike the benefit of the doubt going forward wearing these shoes.

This is my second pair of these as replacements for the discontinued Air Definition cross trainers. I had been purchasing the Air Def's for many years and had good experiences with them. These are terrible, plain and simple. After a few months occasional wear, the soles started squeaking loudly in BOTH shoes every step I took. This has happened with both pairs. Also in this pair, the toe cap on both shoes has come unglued from the front of the shoe after 5 months occasional wear. The price hasn't gone down on these over the years but the quality certainly has...buy at your own risk.
