Comments about Malone Racks Malone J-Dock Hybrid Kayak & Gear Garage Storage Racks:

This is a very well made product but I found when installing into a CBS block it requires hollow space toggle screws to give the support required to mount properly and bear the weight for 2 kayaks.

Comments about Malone Racks Malone J-Dock Hybrid Kayak & Gear Garage Storage Racks:

I am very happy with my purchase of the Malone J-dock Kayak & Gear storage rack.

Installation was easy. I did use a bigger drill bit than instructed to drill the pilot holes for the screws, and used socket rather than a wrench to make it easier on myself. The whole installation was about 20 minutes.

Once installed, placing my kayaks in the cradles took about 10 minutes. The straps to hang the second kayak did not ratchet as easily as I would have liked, and I suggest using your own straps, having help to take weight off the straps while you ratchet them up, or using something under the kayak to hold it up while you tighten the straps. Either way, once they kayak is up and the straps tightened the kayaks are secure and the system is great!

I also liked having the ability to store my paddles on the rack.
