            At first, these shin guards seemed a little bulkly. I am typically a minimalist, so I removed the ankle guard and don't use the velco strap, I simply slip these in and use some tape to keep them up. They fit nicely around my shin. As I mentioned, I used to buy the thinnest, smallest shinguards I could find, but this time bought ones with some actually protection...I'm glad to did. In my mens game last night, I took a shot to the shin that took the guy who kicked me out for a few minutes from the impact on his foot. I have a slight bruise on my shin, but guarantee that I would be in much more pain if I didn't have these to cushion the blow.
            They're not the smallest, but they do the job just fine and I don't think about them when I'm playing. I've used them for 9 months now and they don't smell, and they're still working just great.
            Thanks for saving my shins!

              My advise would be to not purchase the Nike T90 shin guards with ankle guards since 1, you can't legally play with them since they don't have the nocse stamp on the front, 2 they fall off easily and the ankle guards are easy to lose, and they retain odor in the poor quality foam inside the shin guard. overall, do NOT purchase these shin guards.

              I can only wear these to practice. the ankle guard is too thin and pathetic. no velcrow on the shin guard so it won't connect to ankle guard. these shin guards are too bulky and look pretty bad. the shin guard is also foam so it rips and cannot be washed so it will smell. i would not recomend these. i really did enjoy my nike air max shin guard though.
