My son has played soccer at the Premier competitive level for years and this is the only shoe he will wear. The textured toe has helped him with ball control and spin control. He has played as many as three games in a day in these shoes without complaint. I make it a habit to always buy new shoes every year and I always get the discounted last year model usually for a savings of about 30 dollars. These are good for kids with wider feet, other name brands were to narrow and pinched on the sides just in back of the toes.
