worthless transmit distance, false specs

Comments about La Crosse Technology WS-9640U-IT Weather Boy Wireless Temperature Station:

product claims a 200ft transmit distance. i cannot maintain a signal at more than 20-30ft!!! my bedroom where i keep the receiver is no more than 30-35ft from the transmitter but i cannot get outdoor readings from here. completely worthless as it does not serve its primary function, and most certainly does not work as advertised! both the transmitter and receiver are near windows as well! most definitely a product, not user issue here.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
