Comments about Sevylor 9' Fish Hunter Raft:

I bought one of these boats for my family of 6; after all, it did say on the box it was a 6 man raft. No way could you fit 6 people in this raft; unless, there were sharks in the water. It is a very good raft for 2 people; and, can even accommodate 3 comfortably. So, I purchased a second. My husband and 2 kids in one - myself and the other 2 kids in the other. No room for the cooler so we tied another inflatable behind my husbands raft to carry the food and drinks down river. DON'T EVER DO THIS - IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. When you tie two inflatables together they become almost impossible to maneuver. I passed under a bridge no problem. My husband wrapped his raft/inflatable on a bridge pylon and could not get free. WE WERE LUCKY. He and the boys got free of the raft before the current collapsed it. Rescue boats, helicopter, lots of drama; but, we were all OK. Just a few weeks later someone died in the exact same spot trapped in their inflatable against the pylon. I now own 3 of these boats (I did wait for them to go on sale and used a coupon). The boats are great fun for floating the river. They are safe - JUST DON'T TIE THEM TOGETHER. We have two boats for our immediate family and a 3rd to bring along friends. If we can't fit our food and drink we don't bring it. They are nice rugged boats and a good way to spend time with the kids. DON'T FORGET YOUR LIFE VESTS!!!
