      Purchased to match other mats which I bought several years ago. Good durable weight mat.
      The negatives (as other reviewers have stated), the smell is terrible, rubber/chemical smell, even irritates my eyes. Left on porch for 1 month too "air out". Still has a strong odor. My previous mats did not have this strong odor. Also, these mats are cut uneven/wavy, don't line up, edge to edge with my other mats. (1/8" or more gap/space in some areas because the cut is so uneven). Can see the floor through the gap. Sent one back for this reason and the replacement was also cut uneven but kept it because it's such a pain to send back. The mat does serve it's purpose and the biggest negative is the strong smell.

      this is better than described. Thick enough to stay in place and built to last longer that I ever will. The initial smell of processed rubber is a strong but goes away after a month or two and leaves you with years of satisfaction.

          This is a great heavy duty mat and I expect it will do a good job protecting my carpet from my treadmill, but I cannot use it yet because of the overwhelming rubber tire odor that has filled my whole house and has resulted in me dragging it out to my deck to air out. I hope the smell will be gone soon.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
