The Burris® FastFire™ dramatically increases speed and accuracy. It simplifies the act of aiming, eliminating the need to focus on and align the front sight, rear sight and target. With the FastFire II™, the aiming red dot and target are always in focus and properly aligned for the ultimate in accuracy. The Picatinny mount allows mounting on just about any rifle. Special bases are available for the most common firearms.

This sight is very nice. Was advertised as waterproof model but, came in as non-waterproof. Very disappointed in S.A.... I will keep the sight, as it is a good sight, just not a great sight. If I had known, I would have waited to order until I could have cleared up the discrepancy. I don't like to return stuff, so I will probably re-order the waterproof one.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

THIS IS NOT THE WATERPROOF FASTFIRE II AS ADVERTISED. IT IS HOWEVER A 1ST MODEL FASTFIRE AND THAT IS STILL A GOOD THING. SUPER COMPACT AND GOOD LOOKING A NICE SIGHT OVERALL. THE DOT IS NOT NEARLY AS CRISP AS A HOLOGRAM SIGHT LIKE A BUSHNELL OR EOTECH HOLOSIGHT. IT WOULD NOT BE USEFULL FOR X-RING ACCURACY OR LONG RANGE SHOOTING. IT IS GREAT FOR FAST SHOOTING OF MULTIPLE TARGETS. IT LOOKS SLEEK ON PISTOLS AND ALMOST INVISIBLE ON RIFLES. IT WOULD PROBABLY MOUNT RIGHT ON A MILITARY PICCATINY RAIL. HOWEVER A SPORTING WEAVER RAIL WILL REQUIRE SOME FILING OF THE FASTFIRE SCREW OR THE RAIL ITSELF.
