I bought a red and blue band as an alternative to purchasing dumbbells. In less than 1 week, the tubing broke of off both handles on the blue band. I'm hardly the epitomy of physical fitness and there's really no excuse for these things to fail so soon. They might work OK for light duty physical therapy, but are certainly not up to the task of serious day to day exercise routines.
I started P90X about a week and a half ago. I have been switching between the red medium bands and the blue heavy bands. On day ten, doing the shoulders and arms workout the medium band snapped at both ends at the same time. Also I am kind of a tall at 6'2." I found these bands to be extremely long even when not stretched out. This makes it difficult to actually apply any resistance once the bands are stretched out. Yet it still snapped!
I would not recommend this product for anyone considering strength training with bands. Especially anyone considering a workout like P90X.
This along with an exercise Ball and balance board with a few lighter dumbells makes for a complete inexpensive home and traveling gym .Whatever exercises or level from novice to pro...you can do 100's of exercises that you did with fre weights and at the gym .All it takes is alittle innovation and motivation and you CAN gain knowledge of the many ways and exercises that can be perpormed using this resistants cables [there are differring level of resistance simply inquire about color coded resistance levels] I use the 90lb.cables and will soon buy the black resistance band that equals 100lbs. of resistance ,its easy on joints and recovery time from workouts are shorter than using free weights and machinesI am telling you just google resistance bands workouts online and those workout planns and ideas are FREE !!!!! O' keep bands stored out of direct sunlight for longer life and maxium retension of said ponuds of resistance for each cable .
I used the Exercise Band for two weeks before it broke apart in the middle. I returned it to the store and asked if any other band was returned and they said no. I tried another blue Band and it broke also, this time on the right side. I am an average sized female and used the Band daily for Yoga. It was also long but All the bands are this length. No other choice. Wont buy again.
I've used both the red and the yellow bands for my P90x workouts. To date I've had no problems with either band. P90x is an intense workout and the bands have held up. The foam handles are super comfortable. I really have no complaints about these resistance bands and am actually going to purchase the blue ones for extra resistance.

I use the heavy ones for my P90X workouts. I watch the video on how the actors use them, then mimic. I have no problems and the bands are great alternatives to weights, esp. when trying to keep up and achieve the high reps of the P90X trainers. Any people on here who snap them or break them obviously dont know what they are doing.
