The Gear Up™ Up-And-Away hoist system is a unique, no-hassle mounting system with a separate bracket that mounts to the ceiling of fits on open 2-in x 4-in joists, then bolts quickly to the rope and pulley system. The 2-rope system provides easy lifting and control and it comes with a wall-mount, tie-off cleat. Auto locking mechanism prevents accidental release.

Comments about Gear Up Up and Away Deluxe Canoe/Kayak Storage Hoist:

The hoist is advertised as having adjustable straps, which was a strong selling point for me. However, when the hoist arrived it contained straps but they were NOT adjustable so I have returned the item and will look elsewhere.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
