Like the extra long length, it is great for tall people. The thickness of the mat is good as well: not to thick that you lose your balance when performing standing poses, but also it has enough cushion to keep you from feeling to much of the hard floor. It doesn't have an odor either like some mats do. The con's: the mat causes your hands and sometimes feet to slip.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
