Comments about Teeter hang Ups Teeter EP-550 SPORT Inversion Table:
I have lived with/dealt with lower back problems off and on from my teens to now(43yo). Once in awhile bouncing back seems particularly tough. Most recently was one of those times. This thing took longer to assemble (35-40 minutes) than it did to relieve the back pain I had. Just got it and used it yesterday and feel great today, something I haven't been able to say for some several months. Things to note: this thing is what they say it is, high quality construction and materials. It's sturdy and I have no doubt it will hold many times more weight that it is rated for. It really does fold up easily. I'm 6'3" 230lbs, work out all the time. If your somewhat heavier that average or plan to do ab workouts, get the sport model with the gravity boots. The stock ankle contraption is good but can get uncomfortable for hanging extended periods of time or moving around allot. You can order bigger handles from the teeter website, might be worth purchasing if you plan to use it allot. if I could improve anything, i'd add some inline skate wheels so when folded up and tilted it could rolled rather than carried or dragged. Sports Authority really had a good deal on this, I bought the 550 sport model with the gravity boots ([$] everywhere else) for [$], the same price for the table alone, so basically got the boots and hang bar for free. I know that not all back issues are going to be helped by this, but for compressed disc-type problems it is THE BOMB.
Comments about Teeter hang Ups Teeter EP-550 SPORT Inversion Table:
I bought this for my wife. Her doctor had used one and thought so highly of an inversion table that he wrote her a prescription for one. My wife has had three or four (I lost count) neck surgeries and has recurring neck and shoulder pain. If she uses the inversion table at the first hint of trouble, she can eliminate the onset of extreme muscle cramping and pain. She doesn't have to fully invert and uses the tether at full length. She finds this table very easy to balance herself and rock gently up and down to stretch and relax her spine and associated muscle groups. If you have neck and back problems, it's a no-brainer to buy this machine. She bought this unit that came with the boots and boot-hanging bar, but she hasn't needed them. The adjustable foot and ankle system on the Teeter work easily and well if you aren't fully inverting. I suspect that if you were to fully invert for extended periods, you might want to use the boots so you aren't pulling your ankle joints apart for prolonged sessions. The Teeter came with its own tools and was very easy to assemble.
