The SKLZ® Hit-A-Way youth target trainer is designed to help you warm up, tune up, and get your swing on target. It utilizes a "sight sleeve" design and has a padded grip. It can be used to simulate virtually any type of pitch and is effective for drills to increase power and control bat speed.

    I use this as a coach for my 8U girls softball team and farmleague youth baseball team. Both levels have improved their hitting strength and accuracy.
    Used as a warm-up tool it helps them swing level and focus on hitting the ball without the nerves of anticiapting the random variety of pitches - form is key at this age, as it leads to improved hitting.

    My son who is 6 years old has been using this for 2 weeks and the top part came flying off. This item is not as sturdy as one would think

        used it while coaching 7-8 yrs old Little League Team. Our 1st game we won 2-0, then we started using the hit-away while kids were on deck. WOW, they would get up to the plate and whack the ball. We went undefeated winning most game by 8 runs, def getting another one for this season...:)
