Wore it for the first time this morning on a 14 mile run. I've never worn a hydration belt before and it took a couple of miles before I got used to having it on my waist but it felt normal pretty quickly. The bottle slides into the holster easily so there's no fumbling with it while running. You have to make sure the cap is securely closed or you will have Gatorade (or whatever you're drinking) staining your shirt and shorts. The side pocket is a little small for most cell phones although I was able to stretch it out over mine.
I needed something to handle hydration for long runs and hikes. This worked exactly like I had hoped it would after researching all the different hydration packs available online. It is comfortable, light, and has a gear pocket just the right size for my needs.
I haven't found a waist water pack that worked for me. I had to cinch this one around my natural waist in order for it not to bounce, which made me feel like I couldn't breathe. Was uncomfortable and my phone was poking me in the side the whole time.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
