    You will want long, thick socks and some serious extra padding with these skates. I'm not sure where the "memory foam" is -- everything about them feels hard and inflexible. I skated in them once and the top edge actually cut my skin. A week later I got tendonitis in one ankle, and the doctor thinks it's an after-effect of compression from the high tops of the skates. Now I can't skate for a month. I never want to buy skates online again--if I'd tried them on, I'd never have bought them. If I could return them, I would.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        Bought these skates as they sounded like they would be comfortable and warm. Nice change from the old white leather uninsulated.
        Haven't had a chance to even skate as they were not true to size, very narrow and felt very uncomforable. Will be exchanging for something different. not worth the extra cost.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
