Can be packed into its own stow pocket for easy portability
My 13-year-old got this jacket to wear at track practice. She is so hard to please, but she loves this jacket. It's just the right weight for breezy spring weather, plus, the hood is perfect for those misty days. It fits great, as well. The small is perfect even though she typically wears an x-small or size 1 in clothing.
I love the jacket. I play tennis so it is perfect to cover me when my clothes are wet and I dont want a heavy weight jacket. The color is wonderful. I bought two of them first and then I went back for the third one. It fits just perfect.
I wanted a lightweight wind and water-proof jacket for running in a local park that can be windy (and now that I will brave the rain as well.) I had been looking at the usual brands like Patagonia, whose similar jackets cost upwards of $100. I stumbled upon this - and I can confidently report that it works equally well as the more expensive versions. With a baselayer underneath, this jacket protects well against wind and light rain. I've yet to take it out in a heavy downpour to test it. The pack pocket sits at the back bottom and is big enough to comfortably hold an i6 with headphone plug. The handwarmer pockets are a nice feature that the big names don't offer (shaving weight for backpackers?). They're big enough for my hands and keys, but do not have zippers, so I have used the back pocket for phone. I'm 5'2" and 110 lb and usually wear a 4p. The sleeves of the small reach the last knuckle of my hands - so there is length for someone taller, but the elastic at the cuff keeps it where it belongs on me. It feels light and loose, but not sloppy. I love that this packs down so small and light. I plan to toss it in my pack for hikes and summer backpacking trips, as well as take it to the rainforest this summer.
My Fiancé and I went to look at "stuff" at Sports Authority and came across the packable jackets. We loved them so much that we each bought one!The only issue that we had (mostly her) is the unfair pricing when matched up against that of a male's jacket. The female's version was almost double the price of the male's version.
