I was thinking about buying a fiberglass kayak, but I decided to get this to start out. It is very convenient to carry to and from the water. It takes five minutes to inflate. The foot pump works well. My only question was if it would leak. After an hour I didn't notice any leakage at all. Just keep the plugs tight and clean. The first time I tried to get in, I ended up in the river, but I wouldn't blame that on the kayak. Just my bad technique. Keep your center of gravity low when entering. Of course, put keys, cell phone, etc. in a water tight bag.

The product was easy to inflate, put it in the water, and launch. The seats were comfortable and my wife and I had enough room. It was easy to paddle and navigate on the lake. The product is exactly what we needed and at a good price.

For [$], I am VERY pleased with this kayak. I had purchased a hard-shell kayak (50 pounds), but it was too difficult for me to get onto my roof-top carrier. I needed something I could handle alone more easily. (I am 60 with arthritis, somewhat overweight.) This fits that bill perfectly. I was planning to buy a rechargable battery pump as I assumed the foot pump would be a pain, but it inflates VERY easily in 5-7 minutes. I am a very beginning kayaker, having rented only 4-5 times in the last 3 years. I have used it alone and with another person. Yesterday I took it out in South Puget Sound in a bay. I paddled alone, as my passenger has health issues. I even ventured outside the bay for a short while onto the Sound, staying close to shore. There were times when I hit a funny current that caused me to go in circles. At that point, I would ask my passenger to help paddle a few strokes to get me going again. That's all it took. OF COURSE it's not as maneuverable as a more expensive kayak; but, for the money, I think it's great. I also like that I can take this thing anywhere and explore a variety of waterways! Obviously, it is not designed for long sea adventures. My passenger was uncomfortable with the seat, but I'm OK with it as is. I will probably upgrade the seats, though, for when I bring friends along.

I purchased this package for my 8 year old son's birthday to introduce him to recreational kayaking. It is absolutely the best deal out there for inflatable kayak packages and the quality is unbeatable. I had originally purchasd a tahiti classic, separate paddles, pump, etc which I promptly returned after discovering this package which is all inclusive (except for life jackets of course). It is simple to inflate, (the foot pump is great)and deflate. It is very stable, and maneuvers easily. My son took to it instantly so I can just sit back and relax while he takes me for a ride. The storage bag is a must have to keep everything together and is big enough to keep life jackets in as well. You will not find a better product in this price range. Hope this helps.

Reviews on the internet are very positive on this and I would agree that for an inflatable, it would be hard to beat for the price. The only disadvantage might be its length for taller people. While not a big problem, at 6'3", I found myself sometimes hitting my knees with the paddle handle while paddling. It required using a more upright stroke than I would have liked. When in doubt, opt for the longer one.

Most of all I like that there is only one-way air valves now, because before it was a problem with two kinds of valves. Inflatable seats are need to be improved. I have simply bought more expensive, but comfortable seats from Eagle 330. It would be perfect to also use the sail with this boat. I am still thinking how to do it. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Used it on different lakes so far, got it in July of this year, it has been great. Keeping it straight is like any other kayak. Tracking has been good. I love the fact that it is portable, I looked into the standard ones but it took to much space living in a townhouse. The foot pump works, 12-15 minute set-up. Probably faster if you have an electric airpump which I can use too. TIP: When airing the seats, don't make them too big, they become uncomfortable for your back. A little soft is ok. Overall, it works well and would reccmmend to anyone.

Just took it out to the local reservoir and enjoyed a couple of hours out on the water. We look forward to taking it out on different types of water now!
