I find the Polar Loop a marvelous investment because it is waterproof, so the activity for my swimming is added in to the daily total. I appreciate how it measures sleep as restful or restless. The mileage is spot on for the walking my partner and I do.
I love this thing! I wear it all the time. Yes, the battery life is an issue, but other than that it works great. Very accurate. Much better than any of the other wearables I have wasted money on. I bought the FT7 heart rate monitor to use while training. Very easy to set up and start using right away.
need to add that the loop registers daily "swims" as well.

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker:
The product works in the water. This is great!! The battery life doesn't live up to the promised 6 days. Only works about 2 days before it needs a charge. The information is easy to read and the product was easy to set up.
I've been using the Polar Loop for about two weeks so far. Performance is pretty good, and it syncs with other apps like My Fitness Pal. Something I love is that I can swim with it, as I live by the beach. So far, very satisfied with the information it provides, all at a very reasonable price.
I use this every morning when I workout. I have to put it in my shorts pocket when on the elliptical or it will not pickup my strides. The battery life is short and I have to charge it at least twice a week. It does not sync automatically and I'm not crazy about the app and the way it displays the days activities. The clasp and band are way better than the FITBIT that I had previously but returned when it went on the fritz. It also is sturdy and looks good on the wrist. Overall, I like it and would recommend. Price was better than the Fitbit as well.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I received the loop as a birthday present and was very excited to use it and fit it in with my everyday life. I'm a student and spend most of my day inside, so when my loop said that I had lost 1500 calories in the course of 8 hours behind a desk, I started to have my suspicions. Upon paying closer attention to the step counter, I realized that it had been counting somewhere around 18 steps per every 1 that I take. Also, the wireless software is not easy and does not sync half of the time. It is not accurate, and while it could just be my loop, I am returning it and probably getting a Fuel band instead. Mine is not useful, and I will not be getting another from polar.
