Product Details

The Celestron® AstroMaster™ 130 EQ Telescope is a great way to open up the wonders of the universe to the aspiring astronomer. The AstroMaster™ series is designed to give the first-time telescope user the perfect combination of quality, value, features, and power. This model features a German Equatorial Mount - perfect for viewing stars, nebulae, star clusters, and planets.

Key Specs:

  • Model Number: 31045
  • Objective Lens: 130 mm
  • Weight: 24 lbs

  • Telescope Type: Reflector
  • A mirror-based telescope that operates by reflecting light into focus. This design is mainly for astronomical viewing because it inverts the image and provides a large light grasp for high contrast and resolution.
  • Focal Length: 650 mm
  • Mount Type: German Equatorial Mount
  • Uses a counterweight opposite the telescope to counterbalance the weight of the telescope. The telescope may be polar aligned to track the sky and compensate for the Earth's rotation.

Comments about Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ Telescope:

Up to 50x views are crisp. Good FOV at low power and a bright image. Great for deep space, except for close doubles. A suplement for your refractor scope. Fair to good on moon & planets.
