I bought this rod and reel combo and had it for a year. When the first time i used it it gave me problems. It is extremley hard to cast out, top of the reel was hard to open, the rings on the rod started to come out and tangled up eaisley and the button on the bottom stoped working. in the end i trashed the reel, kept the rod.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
