My 10 year old had an old basketball pole/backboard/rim given to him by a friend of mine. The rim was a bit bent, more of an oval shape than a circle. It must have blown over in the wind and landed on the rim (more than once). It was great while he was little, but now that he is involved in orgnaized leagues, we wanted to get him something a little better. This rim was perfect. We didn't need the springs that were included for the "Slam It" feature, so we installed the new rim without them. Everything was easy to du, and luckily, all the holes in the backboard and hte new rim lined up. Just Loosen a few nuts, replace rim, and tighten the nuts again. The price was reasonable, and we are happy with the product.

    product was used as a replacement; holes didn't line up with existing holes and had to expand holes to get it to fit. also, the bolts were too short for the thickness of the backboard and support
