This pitching machine is superb, solid construction and seems like it will last, and it has a good warranty. Setup for use takes less than a minute. On a whim, I called the manufacturer's phone number and a human answered in a few rings and proceeeded to answer some of my questions! The battery life lasts the whole team practice (13U travel baseball) without issues. Great for fly ball training, where you can set it up to land the pop flies between players (like 1B, 2B and RF drill where the kids have to communicate who's got it). If you put it at the maximum angle and full speed (70 MPH), it will throw balls so high that they are almost too "scary" to catch--it is that good! It throws the yellow dimpled 5 oz McGregor balls very well and precise (same location within the strikezone), and can throw real baseballs as well although with a little more scatter (in the strikezone but scattered), and it doesn't seem to chew up the real baseball covers like the spinning wheels on other machines. I also use the light, restricted flight Baden white dimpled balls, but it throws them like a knuckle ball--not necessarily a bad thing, but it scatters the pitches all over the place, both inside and outside the strikezone.

I use the Zooka as a team drill tool and pitching machine. The players and other coaches love the machine as well. It saves our arms and shoulders as a coach.

The machine is very portable and easy to use and easy to set up. BUT it throws knuckle-balls and even with the Zooka brand dimple balls, the pitching pattern is NOT tight. As a pitching machine, it is VERY, VERY disappointing. For outfield use, very good.
