This product does not live up to intended use. Purchased to help 13yr old work on his aim. Tore on first use. Seemed like a great concept, but it definitely did not perform well. Unable to use now because of tears. I would recommend only for a very young child.

Comments about Franklin 2-N-1 Pitching Target / Ball Return:

Arrived with pieces missing. Sports Authority gave me a store credit for the inconvenience. A few days later, a grommet for the screen broke off so I had to tape it to prevent it from breaking. Not SA's fault, but a Franklin Sports problem...poor quality. I will now have to get replacement parts from Franklin

Comments about Franklin 2-N-1 Pitching Target / Ball Return:

I'd read the bad reviews on this but took a chance because we had a gift card, the price was right, and i'm pretty handy if it didn't assemble easily or broke.

However, I was pleasantly surprised. Aside from some confusion with the instructions -- there was not nearly enough detail in the descriptions, and we ended up with one piece upside down and had to nearly start over -- it fit together well, and my son is having a great time with it in the front yard.

It's not the heaviest or sturdiest thing in the world -- I can imagine it breaking or tumbling over pretty easily with a teenager hurling balls at it, but for my 9-year-old it's great.

We bought this for our 10 year old son to practice pitching and he pitched a total of 14 pitches and it had already ripped at the eyelets!! Our son weights a whole 66lbs and does not throw hard at all so this is a piece of junk!! I thought it would be helpful but instead it is just a big waste of money!!!!!!!

Comments about Franklin 2-N-1 Pitching Target / Ball Return:

We purchased this for my daughter to practice pitching inside in the basement. It arrived fine and was super easy to assemble. She really enjoyed the two sides switching back and forth from pitching to fielding on the net side. She could easily move it around and adjust it as a fourth grader. I never took the time to put it away so it stayed out. It did take abuse from pitches that beamed the poles and occasionally getting moved to the outdoors. It held up and served our purpose for two seasons. I never like how the balls would kind of fly out of the back. Inevitably the thin side poles did bend and caused my daughter much frustration to have to constantly stop and adjust it. Finally the poles did completely break and it went to the trash. The design and price was right for a younger player at first. If your child is serious I would buy one that is more durable. We are ready to move on.

I am a little league coach and wanted a tool for my son to practice in the backyard. This item does a great job. My son is 8 and loves switching from the pitch side to the return side. This has really improved his game. I have reccomended this to many of the parents.

Great idea but made extremely weak. I would recomend this for small children throwing under 35 mph. Used it once and all the polls are bent and close to snapping, and the pitching side with the catcher, well all the holes that hold it to the frame have been ripped. Great idea, bad follow through
