Product Details

The Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame® is a hybrid of a folding frame kayak and an inflatable kayak. Its bow slices through water like a knife and rivals the trackability of hard-shell kayaks. The stern acts as a skeg, increasing the tracking performance. It uses extremely durable materials and high-end components. There is plenty of on-board storage room for extended trips and it sets up in just a few minutes.

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame™ Kayak:

Used it twice on the local lake -- not choppy at all. It was a breeze getting in and out of. Very stable -- I weigh in the 170lb range and would have to intentionaly try to flip it. The issues with these inflatables are it's probably not the fasted kayak on the water, it should be dried before repack (takes time, may need to unpack (then repack) and allow to dry once home, bringing a towel or two should be considered) and lastly inflation and deflation, while easy, takes about 10 (or so) minutes each way. Since it's soft it is easy to carry on the shoulder and very comfortable for the 2-3 hour trip I took. Not heavy at all. I suggest you pump it up near the car, leavy ancillary supplies in the car -- you should be able to carry the yak with the paddle no problem. Of course, do not drag it because of the fins on the bottom. Buy the Advanced elements pump with the PSI indicator for some peace of mind and convenience while inflating. I am happy with my purchase and now when I don't use it I don't have to look at it in the garage beckoning me take it out when I am on my way to work. You will be jealous if you see hardshells loading and unloading quickly -- but you can't have it all!
