The Advanced Elements Expedition is a 13-ft hybrid of a folding frame kayak and an inflatable kayak. It has a high-end, lightweight PVC tube which reduces the weight of the kayak without compromising strength. There is plenty of on-board storage room for extended trips. It sets up in just a few minutes and is compact enough to take along on a weekend adventure.

As a middle aged, 6 ft triathelete. I was looking for a light, compact kayak to help increase my upper body strength. I have a 2 seater Ocean Kayak which is just too bulky. As I was inflating it, my wife was insisting I send it back as it looked very flimsy.

I found the Expedition Kayak easy to set up. The kayak was comfortable and sturdy. It tracked well and turned easily. It is very stable, probably because I am sitting lower than the sit on top kayaks. The seat is supportive and comfortable. There is a lot of storage space. I love this kayak. Having three dolphins swim under me was exhilarating.

The only draw back was that it was initially difficult to get in and out of the kayak. I left it inflated on the floor, this bent the skeg and made it difficult to track. I corrected it by leaving it out in the sun and bending it back. Know I store it with the skeg off the floor.

This is a great kayak.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
