I'm an occasional volleyball player, but chose to get my own net to make sure I could play whenever I wanted. I tried a number of products from a variety of manufacturers and retailers and found all of them to be too flimsy. To the point where one of them fell apart before I could use it even once and another started falling apart after a couple of hours of light use. A friend of mine already had this net and recommended it based on how well it held up after 2 years of abuse. Since buying this net I've used it 2 times and found it to be very sturdy (the guys I play with are not super careful :) ). It took all the punishment thrown at it and continues to perform well. One of the things I found extra useful is the bag that comes with this package. It is big enough to fit the net easily and even has enough space to store 2 inflated volleyballs.

This is a decent net, but it needs a few upgrades. The spikes that come with the net are very cheap -- two of them bent significantly the first time I used them. I'm planning to replace them with some decent tent spikes. The poles seem sturdy and the ropes hold them in place pretty well, but the thin nylon twine (yes, twine) used to hold the top of the net is a joke and the tie down system for the twine is very poor. I'll be replacing the twine with rope and will be upgrading the tie downs. The box says "Tournament Grade" and "High Quality," which are substantial overstatements. It's decent, but for the price should be better.

Once you figure out how to set up the net the first time, its really easy the next time. I play in a beach league once a week and we use this net for practice. One draw back is the stakes that come with the net are tough to use in the sand. If you get them deep enough, it will hold fine.
