Comments about BODYFIT Motion Activity Tracker/Sleep Monitor:

I initially had a Fitbit Flex, but quickly upgraded to the FitBit Force. The Force was amazing except the clasp was terrible. I was Not alergic to the "Force," but returned it with the recall. Thus, I've been searching for an alternative product. I tried the BodyFit Activity Tracker and I was a bit surprised with the Other reviews. My Bodyfit Activity Tracker worked and synced flawlessly with an Iphone 4s and an Iphone 5c.

My biggest complaint and why I returned the BodyFit is the way in which the activity tracker "syncs" with your phone. The FitBit Flex and Force were always synced and thus, the output on your phone was always current and constantly updating - as long as you were moving. The BodyFit does not function in this manner. Whenever you want to see your activity level, you must manually push the button on the BodyFit Tracker until the blue light blinks. Then, after a short period of time, the data is downloaded onto your telephones app. It will actively transmit data for approximately 5 minutes, but then, it will stop "syncing" with your phone. I preferred the dynamic and seamless ease with which the FitBit Flex and Force interacted with my phone and the App. No button to push and wait for data to be transferred and displayed.

The BodyFit Tracker's app offers some custom "user" preferences and goals, but it is in no way as good as the FitBit computer interfaced software.

The clasp on the Bodyfit Tracker is very similar to the FitBit Force's clasp, which is a bad design flaw. I popped my Fitbit Force off of my wrist 6 separate times - twice in Zumba class, twice while social dancing and twice while lifting weights. I popped my Bodyfit Tracker off of my wrist twice before I ever went inside the gym to work out. I resolved the issue by using a small piece of Black Duct tape to secure the wristband. I had to do this with the Force as well.

I just purchased a Polar Loop and I'll see if this activity tracker is comparable to the Force. I can see the wristband's clasp is much better than the Force or the Bodyfit. I prefer to have my activity tracker with the output on the wristband. I do NOT like to look at my phone to see how active i have or have not been.

In conclusion I will say this. The Bodyfit's design is similar to the other brands. Albeit a bit Larger than all of the other Brands. I would suggest the following: if you want an Activity tracker and if the BodyFit activity tracker is available for purchase for around $50 (max), I would suggest purchasing it. It tracks ones steps and provides a reminder to keep active and "move." The other brands of activity trackers appear to do the same things with sleaker designs and a more costly price point. The reason I say $50 is because of the statement below about the Pedometers that are available for $20-40. At $50, the Bodyfit is a bit nicer than a pedometer

The Reality is that the majority of people that purchase the Wristband activity trackers for $100+ could actually purchase a simple $20-40 pedometer and they would have very similar results. I see the activity trackers as fancy reminders to keep us moving and active. To insentivise us to park farther away so we can walk and reach our activity/step goals.

I specifically asked staff if it would work with my Droid and was told yes. I just wasted a lot of time and will go back and get a simpler pedometer which is what I wanted in the first place.

This worked for two days and now I cannot get it to sync to the iphone and the app doesn't let me "forget" the device. There is absolutely no place to go to find support and the owners manual is useless. Don't buy it. and, there doesn't seem to be any way to sync it to your computer as a backup.

I bought 2 of these one for my husband and one for myself. The packaging says its compatible with an ipad, but then when you ready the instructions it's only ipad 3. No windows devices. I've synced it to my iPhone though and apparently as I browse the web I've moved 31 steps. I assume if I were to lift some weights at the gym it would register each rep as a step. I can't imagine the sleep mode will work any better, what if I am laying still staring at the ceiling when I can't sleep, how does it know I'm awake?

Packaging is incredibly misleading. It spexifically avoids the phrase "ios only" even though it is. The band isn't even an actual Bodyfit product. Really, check Bodyfit's website and you'll never find it. There is a support number but good luck with that. It's just some random electronics piece with a Bodyfit logo on it.
