Good shoes, a bit narrow for some people

Comments about MERRELL Men's Barefoot Run Trail Glove 2 Shoes:

I've been choosing between these shoes and New balance minimalist trail version, vr2. They look almost identical but I chose NB because it was a bit wider and softer on the sides. I felt like Merrell had something to rub my foot on a side. Also I felt that toe box area was a bit bigger in NB. I usually choose 2E widths if I can so for people with normal width Merrell should work just fine. Size wise it is with running shoes for which I have to select half size up. My regular shoes are size 9, running usually 9.5 and for Merrell I would choose 9.5. Hope it can help somebody since the only review here was saying almost opposite to what my experience was (which is fine since everybody's feet are different).

Barefoot comfort

By SGT Pain; Personal trainer

Comments about MERRELL Men's Barefoot Run Trail Glove 2 Shoes:

I am a personal trainer, and use these shoes for everything (running, weight training, group exercise classes, and everyday ware. They are comfortable, but do take some getting use to at first: If you are a runnner you have to cut your distances in half and build from there while you adjust to the shoe. Wearing barefoot shoes puts you back in a more natural posture, and often help with low back problems. Another benifit to the barefoot shoe is the last longer since there is very little support to break down. One of the Best shoes I have ever owened, highly recommend them, but know there is an adjustment period.

Comments about MERRELL Men's Barefoot Run Trail Glove 2 Shoes:

The shoes are light weight and durable. But, the over size of the toe area is so hard to get past. (just looks abnormal) The size of the shoe it self is really, really big. If you wear a 9 get an 8 for sure.
