Comments about Schiek's Sports Schiek 2006 Leather Lifting Belt - 6 inch:

I bought the belt to use while squatting and uplifting and so far I'm impressed. The construction is sturdy, the leather is of higher quality and appearance than lower-cost alternatives I looked at. I have a rather large back so the 6" back pad fits nicely. I feel more comfortable while dead lifting heavy and the support from the bell has aided me in my squat form. Again this belt is quite large, but that's the point. Items I tried in $20-$30 price range wouldn't have held up.

Comments about Schiek's Sports Schiek 2006 Leather Lifting Belt - 6 inch:

I love Schiek products, especially these belts. They last for years and are great support. We had these in my high school gym and I recommended them for our college gym because of how long they've lasted at my high school. The only thing that I don't like about leather belts is that they take a while to break in. I marked these as both comfortable and uncomfortable because they are a little uncomfortable until broken in. After they're broken in, they're perfect. They move with you and the rear padding keeps it close to your back. I had a hernia repaired just a couple months ago and I feel way more comfortable getting back into heavy squat and deadlift with these. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to buy a weightlifting belt. The price is higher than a lot of fabric belts, but these last and won't break. All you need is the right size and you won't be disappointed.
