Comments about Wenzel Lakeside 40-Degree Sleeping Bag:

We were very specifically looking for an easy to pack sleeping bag for an 11 yr old who is going away on his first adventure camping trips. Our criteria were that the bag had to be easy for roll up and packing in to all the other gear to be carried. Camp does not like "stuff sacks" for sleeping bags because the children can't get them in. We chose this because it's packing method was listed as "straps" and would have been appropriate. As soon as it came out of the box, we noticed it was so tightly shoved in to a small stuff bag that there is no way an adult or child could roll this up tight enough to pack it again. (we could barely get it out of the stuff bag to check for straps) No straps to hold it together. I would literally have to send a large garbage bag for this to be stuffed in and carried over the shoulder on hikes.
