Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

Excellent kayak if you have issues with storing a hard shell kayak. Tracks well through water whether you are solo or with kayaking tandem. It has lots of accessories which improve the tracking and stability/rigidity of the kayak. I have had mine for about 2 years and its a lot of fun. I primarily us it on lakes around me but I am sure it will do just fine in rivers and open waters. Its always is a good conversation starter for others who are launching their kayaks on the boat launch since once the kayak is fully inflated it looks very much like a regular hard shell kayak.

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

Let me start out by saying this is a great kayak for my needs. If you are looking for a kayak but don't want the hassle of storage and transport this is definitely the right choice. i love that i don't need a truck or any special roof rack to bring this to the water, it folds pretty small and only takes about 5 minutes to set up or take down. The convenience of inflatable comes at a cost and in this case it is performance. I found that although this does track relatively straight and can move pretty quick it does not compare to a traditional kayak. i also found that if care is not taken when inflating, the kayak can get a twist from bow to stern that will ruin the tracking a paddling efficiency. Overall i am very pleased with my purchase but think that at full retail price it may not be worth it (i gout mine with a 20% off coupon)

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

We use the kayak for day trips on Puget Sound. We'd like to use it for camping, but we aren't sure how to fit all our gear in the limited storage space. Overall, it's a great kayak. It's comfortable for kids, and when we take it out on our own we can move pretty fast in it.

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

I bought this inflatable kayak and took it out the first time today with my wife and daughter .. It took me about 15minutes to set it up..and get down to the water. This kayak is very stable. Very good with tracking. It went pretty fast too. I bought the Advanced Elements paddles to go with the kayak. When we get back to the launch location, it took about 15mins to repack and roll out. For those who like to kayak and doesn't have a truck or don't want those rack on top of their car..this convertible kayak is for you. I loved it...See you in the water!

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

I am trying to return it but I am not well and its hard to repackage and send. It said convertible and the picture I though showed that it came in click together parts. Instead its a blow up - why did they not say that in the description - why was it called "convertible" - these are useless they blow in the wind and puncture.

Being an inflatable kayak, I was not expecting a great deal of comfort or performance. I was pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable and stable it is, and how well it goes through the water.

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

This kayak sets up in minutes, works well with one or two paddlers, has decent storage and is great for calm waters. It's built very well and can take some abuse. It takes a while to dry out, something you MUST do before storing. It is a bit heavy if you aren't very strong and need to tote it a ways. Advanced Elements offers a cart for hauling it over smooth ground. If you take a buddy with you it's a snap to move. I really like this thing and can take it along on my dual sport motorcycle without too much effort. What a great day that makes.

Comments about Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak:

This is an inflatable kayak. If you like inflatables, that is great. It was disappointing that the manufacturer does not elude to this in the description and therefore you're responsible for the cost of returning the item.
