Comments about THE NORTH FACE Women's Varius Guide Jacket:
I have TNF RDT fleece in XS. Something that some may not realize is for the zip in to work "perfect" is for the jacket size to match the fleece size. I was pleasantly surprised with the freedom in my chest and shoulders. The waist is a little snug but that is more my fault. Overall I love this jacket. I have a super light TNF rain jacket which I use in the summers here (central FL) but for winter I needed something heavier (think torrential downpours that can be near freezing rain). This fits the bill. Waterproof is a must because it can rain quite hard for quite a while and it doesn't actually snow. The zip pockets are a fleece like material on the inside which welcome your hands to stay warm. Excellent by itself for a heavier rain coat as well.
