So, had a 40lb Everlast bag for 25 years (yes, really) and the straps were finally wearing through.
Decided to upgrade to a 100lb bag because I couldn't really use the light bag for front or side kicks, even roundhouses sent it flying.
When I first hung the new bag, I was ready to stuff it back in the box and return it - it was SO hard I daren't give it even half power for punches - with bag gloves on - let alone kicks. I would have broken my foot.
I did a quick Google and it seems a common issue with budget bags - poor stuffing.
I yanked the stuffing and found that most of the sand bags had migrated to the outside - some spots were too soft, some were like hitting a rock.
I wrapped all the sandbags in a cardboard tube, and re-stuffed the bag, keeping the tube central.
Now it's absolutely perfect - a hard workout, without breaking bones. You still need bag gloves, but I can do roundhouses in Kwon's at full power, no problem. The bottom tether is an added bonus and means much less interuption of your workout.
So, as sold, pretty scary-hard (in places) - but with an hour of work, it's really very good.
I'm a fan. I've had the heavy bag for about 3 weeks now and I've used it every day. I know it's still pretty new, but it is a great tool to get out some aggression after work and break a serious sweat.

[...]. If your also about to order this bag by internet just know that they will send you material, not chained bag! But hanging the bag wasn't difficult, you just have to find the beam in the ceiling. The product itself is good.
Bought this bag to replace an older one.Got it for [$] on sale, very good deal.Took it out of the box ,hung it up and had at it. I was impressed with the fill and balance of the bag.Glad i decided to replace my old one
This was a terrible investment! It was tore in three places when I got it out of the box. Thin skin, and cheaply made. Dont waste your money, I guess its back to canvas for me!
I had a nevatear 70 lb. Everlast bag for almost 30 years that showed some minor ripping but took the abuse. Now this big boy replaced it and I know it will hold up as well. My experience silences the stupid blowhards that somehow ripped up this bag or claimed they did. Hang this with the Everlast heavy duty spring and you will be pounding away for years. You can spend big bucks for the leather bags, but this is by far the best value for the dollar.
Used bag a good deal. Ripped about 6 months after I first bought it. Used about 3-4 a week for about 30+ minutes. It ripped maybe because it hung too low.
I dont know what people are talking about, saying it breaks and its cheaply made. I work out 4 to 5 times a week for at least 30 min and it is still in great condition.
After one week, the spot where the chains hook into the bag are ripping. Keep knocking off the chains when hit hard. Used duct tape to keep the hooks from sliding off. Have to keep raising it because the guts of it slide into the bottom making it hard as a rock down there. Have tons of duct tape holding it together now. It looks so sad. It's only two months old now. Maybe I hit it too hard, but isn't that what it's made for? total piece of garbage. VERY disappointed!
