The TKO® 20-lb ankle weight is designed with removable weights and a fully-adjustable closure. It fits comfortably with soft gel padding and a full-cotton terry lining.
I work out about 2.5-3.5 hrs a day. I use my ankle weights when I do my cardio and some floor leg and ab work. I bought these to replace an old pair of 20lb ankle weights. I really needed 30's, but they are very difficult to find. I add six 2 lb weigths to each leg to get to the 32 lbs I need. Without the additional weights strapped on the straps do not go all the way around, they stop short. I have a small ankles so they should go all the way around with or without the additional weights. It is hard to adjust the fit. The picture and the customer service representatives unfortunately do not know their are two 1 lb weights in each pocket. Because of this, they shift when you work out. If there were 2 lb weights in each pocket they would not shift. If I knew about these few things I would not have ordered them. I am going to keep them, because my old ones are to warn out to use any more.
The single 10lb weight=[$]... therefore you would assume 20lb=[$]would be two 10lb ankle weights. Not even close.. this is 1 heavy 20lb ankle weight and now you need another one. Who buys only 1 ankle weight when you have 2 ankles anyway??? Never seen one this heavy before, but if you are looking for heavy... buy 2
i bought 2 so that i can use them to practice kicking. Running isnt that much of an issue but doing for awhile hurts the ankle. Going up stairs is good too. Its heavy and very comfortable. I recommend it once u get use to all the other weights like 10 lbs. Jumping squats is good too but jumping too higher will cause you to land harder causing ouch on ankle since it crush the ankle.
