This is my second unit over 10 years of professional use as a consultant. (I would still have the older model but someone wanted it more than I did - took it from the office.)

Anyway, as a transportation planner I have used this device to take spot measurements of traffic when responding to citizen complaints about traffic and to develop street design concepts. It is so much more easier to use than the old police issue speed gun i used to have to use while plugged into a city fleet vehicle...I now no longer have to find parking...as I can walk up or bicycle to any location under study. It still is useful for use in cars too.

The only minor improvements I can think of are: use AA batteries (rechargeable), make it smaller and less 'gun' like, provide a SD card output for recording, and offer evening LED readout option.

But for ~ $100 - it is an amazing deal! I think i paid twice that and that was a good deal. Buy two and share them!
