I've had this product for a year now and it's great. The pads are placed in the proper location to provide excellent support to the ankle on both sides. I wore this product 4 months for 3 – 4 days a week on 17 and 6 mile runs. It gave me the proper support last year and its coming in handy this year with my new ankle sprain (6/17/2010). So, I'm online looking for more products to ensure I can complete a half marathon (8/1/2010). This support fits better then the store brand and the braces/wraps given at hospitals. It holds it shapes and provides the right amount of compression. Yes, you will still be able to ice without removing the support so RICE (Rest Ice Compression Elevation) is made easier to accomplish which makes for a better recovery. The sight bulkiness is the least of the issues to a good product that fits supports and aide in 100% recovery and in a good gym shoe it will not notice.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this product for additional support for my injured ankle. This brace does not bind or constrict the blood flow as many do, it is extremely comfortable and does a great job of decreasing swelling. The only drawback is the bulk of this brace that would be impossible to disguise while wearing a skirt. A great product.
