Comments about Gear Up Floor to Ceiling Aluminum Bike Rack Black:
I have purchased multiple upright bike racks in the past and they are always too flimsy, not stable, rust, etc. I researched many models looking for something that would last awhile and found it in the Gear Up Floor-to-Ceiling model. I like that it can either go up against the wall, or be moved out to accommodate an additional two bicycles. I have a road, cyclocross, hybrid, and beach cruiser so I needed something that could handle the weight and have the confidence it would not fall over from the slightest breeze. It took a bit more focus and concentration than I felt necessary to assemble a bike rack, but eventually figured it out and sped through the remaining assembly. As for installing it was extremely simple! I am fortunate to have concrete on the floor and ceiling (parking garage) so no worries of it falling over. From the design I cannot imagine why someone would have difficulty, even with carpet or drywall. Overall, I have been using this product for approx five months and actually enjoy having the confidence and peace of mind when I rack my bikes!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
