The description says chameleon but when I received the glasses, they came with "Glacial Blue" dark lenses. When I brought this to Pivothead's attention, they promptly sent me the "photochromic lenses" that are supposed to darken in sunlight. When I place the lenses on my car dashboard, they do not darken at all, not even after 30mins. No comments from Pivothead. As for video recording performance, the recordings are comparable to video recordings from an Iphone5. Very clear recordings, but if you turn your head too quickly, the recording becomes a little jerky even at 60fps. GoPro videos are alot smoother, but I don't expect that type of performamce jammed into sunglasses. Good performance with snapshots. Very clear just like a typical smartphone camera. And you can take pictures while recording videos. I wish it has removable memory. Say you recorded a bunch of stuff on it then dropped the glasses in water, you won't be able to retrieve your recordings. At least with an SD card, you can take it out and read it with a computer. Overall, it's a very good product with lots of room for improvement. I can tell from their FB page that the company is very interactive with its customers and responds to all comments or support queries. This is the kind of company that will succeed. Since this is the first offering of these glasses, I'm sure later iterations of this product will be offer enchancements.
