    price the only positive

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Men's Trailbreak Hiking Shoes:

looked rugged. good wide fit. bought 1 pair for my son, one for me. he wore them out in a couple of months. mine lasted only a little longer, since i wore them less frequently. heels wore down very quickly. laces would not stay tied even with a tight double knot. did not do any serious hiking. even the low price does not make up for the poor quality.

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Men's Trailbreak Hiking Shoes:

Moderate use (2-3x per week) and they were falling apart by 2 months. The soles are falling off, the traction is wearing off. They were unconfortable even after the breakin period. Being cheap is literally the only positive. Worst shoes I have ever owned by far.

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Men's Trailbreak Hiking Shoes:

Purchased these shoes because they were a good value on the wallet. When I sized these they fit nicely and liked the width. I used them for about a week and was on a trail and I felt the shaft on one shoe break, then the same shoe broke again at a different location on the shaft. As I continued on the hike, I felt the other shoe do the same. I think there's potential for this shoe but definite modifications need to be made to the design before it can continue. Until then I would not recommend this product.
