Purchase good stainless bolts, nuts and washers for the carry handles! Do it before you even pick it up the first time. This would have saved me a trip to the hardware store... Otherwise this is a nice kayak. We bought two of them and have used them in salt water and on an 11-mile river trip. Both were very successful and lots of fun. Both of ours constantly get water inside whether they are stored on their sides or sitting on their bottoms. Not a lot, but more than I would have thought. They NEVER leaked while in the water, just while stored outside in the rain.

The hull is too think to withstand even a small amount of dragging over concrete .... such as at a boat ramp after being unloaded from a van. Also, the plastic will not adhere to either silicone sealant or epoxy, so you can't fix the damage. I capsized due to a leak the first time out. This thing is a safety hazard.

Had it out 7 or 8 times great for fishing. I have a 12 footer also but this one is more stable for fishing . I can move around grabbing gear and dont have to worry about tipping. Not fast but that is not what it is built for. Great value.Seems to be durable.
I use the kayak in both Fresh water and Salt Water. Moves through the water nicley. Side carring handles have come off,( like most who are writing these reviews. I will try and fix myself. (Do not go cheap on a paddle) A good one makes a big performance difference. Also have a issues finding the correct scupper plugs
Love the Kayak for the price. As the other reviews mentioned though, I had the same problem with the handle straps coming off. I drilled out the plastic rivets and put in 1/4" bolts, washers, nuts, and lock washer. I could just reach inside to hold nut with a socket wrench. I use around the coastal islands in southwest FL. in pretty calm water. Very happy with it. Debated between a 4 or 5 cause of the handles, but easy fix so I gave it a 5.
had the coupon and got a good deal, used it once stayed out for a while, if I was using the kayak I would have to get out to rest the back. Nice to be able to change the angle of the back rest. Fishing rod holders good, tackle box tween the legs or on the back platform.I think the wife would like the easy access. The only trouble with that is I be back in the normal kayak.
i got this product for myself to fish off of.. i was a little nervous at first but it got comfy i was out for 5 hours an no pain in my butt an you dont need to fill the holes in it.. its a nice one person kayak to go out an catch fish with.. def go with someone if you fish.. i was able to keep up with my wifes 2 seater kayak an they moved fast... it did take on little water but didnt know until i got home an flipped upside down.. but for the price an its very light weight, i am def happy buying it... watch you tube an build your own stabilizer bars for it, i did an cant wait to use on this kayak...it fits a milk creat with no problem.. b4 you bring home make sure your handles have washers on the rivets, mind didnt an the handles came right off the first day.. butit is such an easy fix.. but other then that its a nice little fishing kayak..
as i mentioned, the side handles came off in the store parking lot. the velcro stretched and came off the rivets. lifetime needs to spend an extra 50 cents and put washers on the rivets. i'm not sure how i will fix this.
I have used this kayak one time. It seemed to track well for a 10' yak I like the storage hatches and deck bungees. My only complaints would be that the rivets that hold the side handles on should have had washers installed under them. The strap material can stretch a little and allow it to slip off the rivet. It is a very easy and quick fix though. Overall I'm very pleased with it. It is a perfect fit for me especially with the sale price +20% off that sports authority had. I couldn't be happier.
