The Ballistic Defense lenses offer extreme impact resistance that is 5 to 6 times greater than that of regular polycarbonate lenses. Developed from a superior blend of polymers by Carl Zeiss Vision®, these lenses are designed for military, safety and sport applications.

The sunglasses are great. I do suggest that the Sports Authority website specify that these sunglasses have polarized lens, and the color is smoke, because these sunglasses come in 3 varieties, not all polarized, and the website does not specify which one you are ordering.
