The heavy-gauge polarized lenses contain a hard coating for additional scratch resistance, and they reduce smudging during cleaning by repelling dirt, grime and water. The black frames are made of high-grade materials for added durability, and the rocking nose pads and temple inserts provide maximum comfort.

They are not as strong as the name indicates. The frame broke while grade 2
Whitewater rafting.--only had them a few months.
